This is a place I have visited a few times. It is a hill near the River Boyne in County Meath, Ireland.
It is a very cool place to me for a few reasons. First, it is in the same town where my parents got married. Also, there is an old legend about Saint Patrick associated with it, that he lit a fire on it on the eve of Easter, and that was the beginning of his mission in Ireland.
There is an old Irish hymn associated with this place and the legend called “Rop Tu Mo Baile”. It is best known in its English translation, “Be Thou My Vision”, which is my favorite hymn.
